DAEJEON,
South Korea, October 15, 2026 – LigaChem
Biosciences Inc. (KOSDAQ: 141080, 'LigaChem') today announced that
its proprietary ADC platform technology, ConjuAll™, won the top honor in the
'Best ADC Platform Technology' category at the 13th Annual World ADC Awards,
held on October 14 (local time) in San Diego, California. With this award,
LigaChem has been recognized in the category for eight consecutive years since
2018, extending its record as the category's most-awarded company. Following a
runner-up finish last year, LigaChem reclaimed the top honor this year,
reaffirming its leadership in global ADC platform technology.
Held
annually alongside the World ADC Summit, one of the world's leading conferences
dedicated to ADCs, the World ADC Awards category finalists through an
industry-wide vote. Finalists then submit proposals, which are evaluated by a
judging panel of ADC experts from global pharmaceutical companies and academia
to determine the winners. This year's finalists in the 'Best ADC Platform
Technology' category included platforms from leading global CDMOs and ADC
specialists: Ajinomoto Bio-Pharma Services (AJICAP), Lonza (GlycoConnect),
MediLink Therapeutics (TMALIN) and WuXi XDC (WuXi DARx), alongside LigaChem's
ConjuAll™. LigaChem was named the winner, and Lonza received the runner-up
award.
ConjuAll™ combines
site-specific conjugation technology with a highly plasma-stable, β-glucuronidase-cleavable linker to produce homogeneous ADCs with a
uniform drug-to-antibody ratio (DAR). A key differentiator is its compatibility
with a broad range of payload classes beyond topoisomerase I (Topo1)
inhibitors. As the ADC market has become increasingly concentrated on
Topo1-based payloads, demand for next-generation payloads that can overcome
resistance is growing, highlighting the value of platforms with payload
versatility.
The
award is also significant in that the platform's clinical utility is being
demonstrated through the progress of ConjuAll™-based clinical assets.
IKS014 (LCB14), a HER2-targeting ADC licensed to Iksuda Therapeutics, has shown
meaningful responses even in patients with HER2-positive breast cancer
previously treated with Enhertu®, while the CD19-targeting ADC IKS03 (LCB73) is
showing encouraging responses in the dose-escalation part of its Phase 1 trial.
In addition, Iksuda's IKS04 and SOTIO's LRRC15-targeting ADC SOT106, both
derived from LigaChem's platform licensing agreements, are expected to enter
the clinic in the second half of this year, making the results of LigaChem's
platform licensing model increasingly visible. A number of other programs are also
progressing smoothly in clinical development, both in-house and through
licensing partners.
Alongside
the award, clinical and preclinical data from ADCs built on LigaChem's platform
technology were presented at the World ADC Summit, held October 12–15 at the same
venue. On October 13, Dr. Jutta Deckert, Vice President, Research &
Development at Iksuda, presented the latest results from the global Phase 1
trial of the HER2 ADC IKS014 in a session titled 'Spotlighting the
Clinical Profile & Positioning of IKS014 to Contextualize ADC
Sequencing.'
In
addition, Stephen Slocum, Director at AntibodyChem Biosciences
('ACB'), LigaChem's U.S. subsidiary, delivered two presentations. On
October 13, he shared preclinical data for the CLDN18.2 ADC LCB02A, along with
its clinical development strategy, including patient ion based on
CLDN18.2 expression levels and starting dose ion. On October 14, he
presented a comparative analysis of design elements and clinical results across
HER2 ADCs, using the design features and clinical safety data of LCB14 to
illustrate how linker-payload design shapes early clinical outcomes.
'Being
named the winner again this year, on top of eight consecutive years of
recognition in the platform category, reflects renewed recognition from global
ADC experts that ConjuAll™ is a clinically validated platform applicable across diverse
targets and payloads,' said Jaewook Chae, Executive Vice President and
Head of Global Business Development at LigaChem. 'With growing industry
interest in next-generation payloads beyond Topo1 and in overcoming resistance,
we expect this award to have a positive impact on our ongoing platform
licensing discussions.'
